Who we are

Our story puts down its root long time ago… at the time of the Argentine Tango, when, during an evening late in Autumn we met each other in a warm and cosy dance hall, wrapped in the joyfully and tormented sonority of the cumparsita…

After this the step was short...

When we came back from a tanguera holiday, Rosario, Mariella and I decided to give rise to our unstoppable desires: opening our own Tango school ! Tired for the absence of Tango in Palermo, we captured our first teachers among the sunny Calabrian beaches. Until when Rosario and I went to Rome, and fell in the packed and sensuous wefts of the milonguero Tango…

After a short time the Tobias Bert and Annalisa di Luzio’s playful and fresh elegance, invaluable dancers of the tango with their air of old days, ravished us… then they also decided to follow us closer, even better closest …

Among the exertion, the sweat, the joy and the crazy amusement, we called us “noTangodiNero” first, and “colorTango palermo” after, when Maurizio e Georgia joined us…
Today we have become a cultural association and, among a lot of ideas, we spend our time among theatre, cinema, dance and a huge need to grow up!!!

We have only a weak point: we need all of you, with your smiles, your questions and your desires…

Short- biography

The cultural association “colorTango palermo” was constituted in Palermo on July 19 2001, with the head office in 70 Alcide De Gasperi avenue.

It proposes to popularize every activities that are related to the culture and the art, like the dance, the cinema, the theatre, the music and the figurative arts.

At the moment it is occupied with the promotion of the culture and the practice of the Argentine Tango, through courses, literary studies, meetings, festivals, promotions of publications and oenogastronomic meetings. Since September 2004 it is conducting the aSSud dancing school and it is promoting since 2002 the SiciliaTango Festival (International Festival of the Argentine Tango ).
